We created ProofHub so that it can be the ultimate solution for all your project management problems. And, we are always working to give you a world-class experience that can help you plan, collaborate, organize and deliver successful projects.

Want to bring excitement and productivity in your work life? Switch to ProofHub.

In the last few weeks, we pulled up our socks to optimize user experience. That is why our designers and developers at ProofHub have been working tirelessly to make ProofHub features better and enhance their functionalities.

To be precise, we have added new features in Notes, made inline editing easier and added a new option to hide selected tabs from specific roles to restrict their access.

In this blog, we will discuss everything about the latest feature updates in ProofHub in detail. Starting from the Notes editor where its new additions will be discussed. Secondly, we will talk about how inline editing is simplified in Discussions, Tasks, and Notes in ProofHub. Lastly, we will discuss how you can hide specific sections from the roles you created or the ones already created in ProofHub.

Let us have a look at them one by one.

INTRODUCING THE ALL NEW NOTES EDITOR

ProofHub Notes can be used for a lot more than simple note-taking. You can capture your ideas, random thoughts, finalized plans, and other important project information in them so that you don’t have to remember everything.

From compiling individual records to keeping a track of the minutes of meetings, creating a simple to-do list to storing project information, every thing can be noted down in ProofHub Notes. You can even share them with others in a breeze to make team collaboration quick, easy and streamlined.

Also, it allows you to color your notes to differentiate them and keep them neatly organized at a central place which is accessible to all. And, that’s not all. We have added new features to them to increase the effectiveness and to make them an exact fit for all your needs. Below are the updates in the Notes section:

  • Word count

Say goodbye to the separate Word count tool you’ve installed to check the number of words. Now, you can get the complete word count, along with the character count in ProofHub notes.

  • Spell check

The new Spellchecker feature in ProofHub Notes allows you to flag out the misspelled words in the content in notes. This eliminates the need for you to check each line manually for errors and will help you deliver content free from spelling mistakes and errors.

  • Add image

Make your notes visually appealing by adding images and screenshots to them. You can add images simply by copying the image and pasting it using your mouse.

  • Insert table

Now, you can add tables having any number of rows and columns and can create detailed time plans, research reports and a lot more within Notes.

  • Print

With the latest updates in the Notes section, you can take a print out instantly when the final draft of the note is ready. Just click on the ‘printer’ icon and get the print out in your hand as quick as lightning.

If you’re a ProofHub user and haven’t used Notes section yet, go have some fun and create compelling notes with the all new enhancements.

INLINE EDITING IS EASIER THAN BEFORE

We realized that users had to do multiple steps to do something that was as simple as editing text. So, we decided to make it simpler for you.

Here’s how it works:

Earlier, when you would click on the context menu option on the top right side of the task, you would get a drop-down menu. From where you needed to select the edit option in order to make changes in them.

With the new changes, you just need to select the text you wish to edit and you’re good to go. You can edit, add subtasks and assign them to various people. It’s as simple as 1–2–3.

These changes are not only limited to Tasks but are introduced to Notes and Discussions as well. Let’s see how it goes in the different sections in ProofHub:

  • Discussions

Go to discussions. Select a topic. Just click on the text to make any inline changes.

  • Tasks

Go to tasks. Select any task or list. Click on the text/description to make any changes.

  • Notes

Go to notes. Select a notebook. Just click anywhere in the notebook/notes to make any changes.

HIDE TABS IN PROJECT SECTION WITH JUST A TICK!

With the new enhancements in ProofHub, Admin can now hide specific tabs from a Custom role in the Manage area section.

Earlier in ProofHub, when you created a Custom role of Admin, by default the person would get access to all the information in the ProofHub account. This could lead to giving him insights of the internal discussions of the team members, which you might not want.

Just to make sure that such a thing does not happen, we have come up with the option to hide tabs in the project section. You can give access to only those sections that are required for the Custom role i.e. you can choose if people with specific roles should or should not access specific sections.

Here’s how it works:

  • Click on ‘Manage account’. Select ‘Custom roles’ from the drop-down menu.
  • You can create a new Custom role or select from the ones already created. It can be the role of a client, stakeholder, or any other role you’d like to restrict the access for.
  • Now, for each section, you will see ‘Allow access’ option. By default, it will be checked, it means the role has access to that section.
  • If you want to restrict the access for any section say, Discussions or Notes, you can uncheck it.
  • Once you’ve unchecked the checkbox that section will be completely hidden from the person with this role.

From now on, you don’t have to worry about giving away more than what was required. If you want to hide a specific section from a Custom role, just uncheck it as explained above.

We hope the enhancements will help you manage projects better and keep things secure and private.

We try our best to keep our pace up with changing times and evolving needs of our customers. In the last few weeks, we have taken our best ideas; mixed them with customer insights and feedback and tried to come up with some exciting stuff. And, we are sure you are going to love it!
